Tariq Nasheed Career
Tariq Nasheed began his career as a rapper and later as a dating expert under the “K-Flex” persona, before transitioning into documentary filmmaking. He wrote his first book, The Art of Mackin, in 1999, which became a New York Times bestseller. He followed up with several other books on dating and relationships, such as Play or Be Played, The Mack Within, The Art of Gold Digging, and The Elite Way.
In 2011, he produced and directed the first installment of the Hidden Colors film series, which explores the history and contributions of people of African descent.
