Leading OTT Platform NETFLIX Bagged List of Tamil Films

The World’s leading streaming entertainment platform Netflix has extensive library of feature films, documentaries, award-winning Netflix originals, anime, Reality shows and even more to watch.  The digital rights of these films already been bagged by this leading platform and will be on OTT post theatrical release.

On the occasion of Pongal, Netflix announced the release of a series of films, which includes Japan, Iraivan, Chandramukhi 2 and Aaryan. The films will stream on the platform in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada after their  post-theatrical release.

Varalaru Mukkiyam

Directed by Santhosh Rajan. Starring Jiiva, Kashmira Pardeshi, Pragya Nagra, Saranya Ponvannan, K.S.Ravikumar,  VTV Ganesh and many others. This movie was released on Dec 2022 and now streaming on Netflix.

Vaathi

Starring Dhanush’s Vaathi, scheduled for theatrical release on 17 Feb 2023. Vaathi, a life of a common man and his struggles on privatization of education.

Thangalaan

A periodical film starring Vikram and Parvathy directed by Pa. Ranjith releasing on April 2023.

Thalaikoothal

Starring Samuthirakani and Kathir, Thalaikoothal will be on theatres on 3 Feb 2023. Directed by Jayaprakash Radhakrishnan and produced by S.Sashikanth under his Y Not Studios banner.

Revolver Rita

The film is directed by K Chandru and produced by Sudan Sundaram and Jagadish Palanisamy. The first look poster of Keerthy Suresh’s Revolver Rita was released by Yasodha starrer Samantha.

Bharathiraja and Arulnidhi’s upcoming flick produced by Lyca Production which is yet to be named.

Lyca Production’s Production no.20 is Jai and Aishwarya Rajesh’s upcoming film directed by Rohin Venkatesan.

Lyca Production Subhaskaran’s Production no.18 starring Yogi Babu written and directed by T. Arul chezhian expected to be comedy flick.

Naai Sekar Returns

Vaigai Puyal Vadivelu is back with Naai Sekar Returns now streaming on Netflix is a full length comedy film.

Maamannan

Maamannan is all set to hit the theatre on April 14, 2023 marking Tamil New Year. Directed  by Mari Selvaraj featuring Fahadh Faasil, Keerthy Suresh, Vadivelu in lead roles.

JigarThanda Double X

Jigarthanda double X featuring Ragava Lawrence and SJ Suriyah in lead roles.

Japan

Karthi’s Japan marks his 25th film directed by RajuMurugan and music scored by G.V. Prakash Kumar with Rashmika Mandanna in lady lead role.

Irugapatru

Directed by Yuvaraj Dhayalan starring Vikram Prabhu and Shraddha Srinath in lead role. And theatrical release date is yet to be announced.

Iraivan

Iraivan starring Jayam Ravi and Nayanthara in lead role directed by Ahmed of Manithan fame.

Chandramukhi 2

Directed by P.Vasu featuring Ragava Lawrence in the lead role and the team recently announced the

 

Aaryan

The film is written and directed by Praveen.K starring Vishnu Vishal in lead role.

AK 62

Ajith’s upcoming film tentatively referred as AK62 directing by Vignesh Shivan. The story, cast details and release date are yet to be announced by Production unit.
